My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maverick was found stray in a rural area and his owners never surfaced. The family who took him under their wing, reached out to LHS for assistance placing him in a home. He is an extremely sweet and loyal pet. He does great with people of all sizes but would do best as the only dog in the home.

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period.
