Hi I’m Fay!

I’ll turn 7 months old on Christmas Eve! My foster mom says I’m a good girl and listen well. I’ll come when called, or I’ll drop everything for the sound of the ice maker or a food package!

I’m a slim and trim 55lbs and I’m told I’m a big girl and gonna get bigger. I’m thought to be a Shepherd mix. But we didn’t see either of my parents. If you get me worked up I’ll break into a billowing howl that gets me laughed at - not what I’m going for!!!

I’m a playful girl but I really love to curl up on top of you and sleep. My foster mom says she can’t breathe and I need to lay next to her but I think she’s a drama queen.

I prefer my food away from other dogs but I don’t ever protect my food from people I’m willing to share with my peeps!

I’m a bit of a homebody. Really it’s that cars just make me sick. I don’t know how you people drive around in those things.

My ideal forever home: I can be an only dog or with another dog, I haven’t ever met cats but willing to give it a try if you are! What I really want- A family with a large couch to snuggle on!!

More about this rescue

SDRD is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit no kill dog rescue and group foster home located in Topeka, KS.

It is our goal to network with other local rescues and shelters to save dogs that are at risk for being euthanized due to lack of space.

We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the dangers of purchasing a dog from a pet store or puppy mill.
