My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just a youngin' myself, I had nine puppies in Cleveland, TX on July 7^th, 2024 – the day before the hurricane hit – can you believe the luck!? Fortunately, the human whose lawn it was on which I gave birth was kind enough to take us in and shield us from the storm!

Now that my pups are almost all adopted, I'm ready for my forever home! I do well going back and forth, inside and outside. I am low to medium energy, and look forward to my daily, two-mile walk. I love, love, love to play with soft toys, squeaker toys - you name it! I gather them in my kennel in fact. I've never had toys before!

While on walks I wag my tail in delight at every single dog who passes by me – big or small. I also like men, tall people, and children. Pretty much the only thing that I go after are those bushy tailed things called squirrels!

It would be great to be a part of a forever family. I am a submissive dog so would do well with another dog or as the only pet. I’m the easiest and sweetest girl you’ll ever meet!

I'm being fostered in the Woodlands and would love to meet you!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to: http://www.operationpetsalive.org/AdoptionApplication.php and complete an Adoption Application. This is not a commitment to adopt.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once application is received, we review the information and contact you with any questions and coordinate for you to meet the animal.

3.
Approve Application

After you have met the pet and the application is approved, you will need to complete the Adoption Contract.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once the Adoption Contract is signed you will be able to take home your new pet!

5.
Home Check

We reserve the right to do home visits and contact your current vet if applicable with final adoption contingent on results.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fees are as follows:
Dogs: Puppies up to 6 mos old: $250
Dogs over 6 mos old: $185
Senior Dogs 8 yrs old or older: $150
Adoption fee includes being dewormed, current on vaccinations (first two DAPPs for puppies), heartworm tested (>6mo), spayed/neutered and rabies vaccination and microchip.
Cats: less than 6 mos old: $125
6 mos and older: $100
Senior cats 8 yrs or older: $80
Adoption fee includes being dewormed, current on vaccinations, combo tested (exemptions for litters), spayed/neutered and micrcochip.
Texas Barn Cats: Two cats for $50 each with each additional cat for $30 - includes spayed/neutered, ear tipping, FVRCP and 1 year rabies. All fees include the required sales tax for animals adopted from rescue organizations.
