My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jordan is a cute tortoiseshell kitten with a distinct line down her nose - one side black and one side orange. She is curious, playful, and affectionate all in one. She is a little more cautious and reserved at first, and would probably do best in a home with children 10+ years old. If you sit down with her and quietly let her get to know you, she will be putty in your hands in no time. She gets a lot of confidence from her siblings!!

Jordan is part of the "Gymnastics Litter" born on 6/25/24 to mom Paris. Two boys - Brody and Asher. And 3 girls - Simone, Jordan, and Jade. She would love to be adopted with a sibling or with her mom who is still under a year old herself!

Jordan is fostered in Huntsville, AL. She is FIV/FeLV negative and will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to final adoption. She is also litterbox trained, socialized, and available locally for our foster-to-adopt program RIGHT NOW! She is good with other cats and is fostered with two dogs who are teaching her dogs are not so scary after all.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
