My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If anyone is looking for a goofy, playful, cuddle bug of a kitten, Nebula is the perfect fit for you! While he may start off a little shy when you first meet him, he is quick to warm up to you and will be begging for your attention sooner than you would expect! (Especially if you're offering him wet food or treats!)

Nebula has been really opening up in his foster home. This guy can PURR, and he enthusiastically runs up to his foster mom and follows her around for attention. He loves laying on his foster mom's chest, lap, shoulders - anywhere he can get some good snuggles in! He enjoys being picked up and held. His foster mom can hold him like a baby. He even gives out kisses when he's overflowing with affection.

Pictures do not do this handsome boy justice. He has a strikingly beautiful contrast in his tabby pattern. He has gorgeous green eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. He's an extremely playful little guy - he loves chasing around a wand toy and showing off his agile skills.

Since he a little shy with new things, he may need some time to warm up to a new household. We think he has the potential to do well with dogs or cats, with proper introductions, and he would do best with another kitten friend to pal around with. (Perhaps you can adopt him with one of his foster friends?) He has grown to be friends with his foster mom's toddler, so he has the potential to be great with kids that can respect his space. Nebula is a quiet, sweet boy who would love to find his favorite person to cuddle up with. However, has one request since he is an avid bird watcher and sun bather. He would like to have a nice window with a view to relax in front of in his new home.

Nebula is about four months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you that special person that will help him shine bright? Please apply today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
