Lana was found in an area park and brought to the shelter. She is a sweet loving young lady who really wants to find her own human. Born in February 2024, she loves to make biscuits and get lots of love. She is the perfect girl for any individual or family looking for a cat that will be "paws on" when it comes to personal interaction. She loves people! She would be fine with other cats with a proper introduction, but she would also do well as a single kitty. Come and meet Lana - it will be love at first purr!!
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
