My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Max, a 3-year-old English Mastiff, and a BIG boy, at 128 lbs, and the epitome of a gentle giant! Riley, is Max's daughter, a gentle 2 yr old Mastiff/Husky mix. They have overcome more than their fair share of challenges. They have embarked on a journey of healing and hope after a difficult past of neglect and abuse. Despite it all, their spirit remains unbroken, and they are ready to discover the warmth and love of a true forever home.
Riley is slowly realizing that not all humans are scary. With patience and kindness, Riley is blossoming into a loving and affectionate companion who adores being close to her person. Whether it's snuggling up for a cozy cuddle session or playing with her favorite toys, Riley finds comfort and happiness in simple moments of joy.
Max loves nothing more than leaning in for a cuddle session, offering warmth and companionship with his people. Though his past may have been rough, he is an amazing and sweet dog. He is good with some dogs, house trained, and just wants a comfy couch and family to love him! Riley is strongly bonded to Max, and the presence of Riley brings Max an extra level of comfort and security, (making them an ideal pair for anyone looking to open their hearts to not just one, but two deserving souls). They would do best staying together, because they share a special bond.
If you're ready to give Riley and Max the love and care they have been longing for, please apply today! Together, we can write the next chapter of her story—one filled with love, trust, and the happiness they so truly deserve

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
