Meet Braxton! This goofy goober is anxiously awaiting his fur-ever home!
This adventurous 2-year-old is always willing to hop in the car and join in the fun. Long walks on the beach, park, downtown, or around the block, it doesn't matter to him; he's always ready to play. His foster parents advise hard toys only, as he plays rough with soft toys. Some of Braxton's favorite toys include kongs, puzzles, ropes, nylon bones, and tennis balls. When he's tuckered out, he is always by your side, ready for a good cuddle and nap.
Braxton is very food motivated; loves anything edible and a few things that aren't (he's making progress everyday with the cue "leave it"). Administering oral meds is easy - breezy when coated in peanut butter. Some of his favorite treats include apple slices, peanut butter, frozen watermelon, and of course, pup cups. If you walk him downtown, Braxton loves to shop for all the doggy treats offered at each location.
He has been in foster with adults only with no other pets in the house. Braxton would enjoy a dog companion, but it is recommended no cats. It is noted he interacts well with other dogs; passerbys have stated he is well-behaved on leash. Foster parents note he will match the other dogs' energy. On leash, he walks well (unless he sees a squirrel, then it's a different story - he will pull, but will redirect for treats) and is a great running buddy. He is crate and potty-trained. It is recommended Braxton be in his crate during times when he is left alone. He knows commands such as "sit", "paw", and "stay".
