Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome young fellow is 10 months old, about 20" tall, neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations. He has a full, fluffy tail. His original family didn't know a lot about Australian Cattle Dogs and found they weren't up to the job of training and socializing him. Auggie is good with cats & younger children -- although as with all dogs, we do not recommend he be left with them unattended. He was raised around livestock, but has never had herding training, although he definitely has the interest. He's also comfortable with other dogs -- he does show signs of wanting to be the 'guy in charge' though. We've been working on his social skills with people, but he's still very wary of strangers, especially men in hats and sunglasses. This behavior can easily be overcome with work and exposure. Auggie likes to swim and cuddle and he'll snuggle with you to your heart's content. Auggie is an unusual bitter chocolate color -- not common in ACDs, but a recognized color. His former owner mentioned that as he's gotten older he's acquired more speckling on his body.
Only homes with fully and securely fenced yards will be considered. Adoption fee is $150
