“Wait, whoa, stop right there! Been looking for you! Got toys? Got teens? Got time to play? Got cats or small dogs? Looking for a buddy? I’m IT!! I have been staying with some very nice people but their 3 cats just don’t really want to play with me. They are ok, but I am looking for a place with a little more action. I love to play in the morning and after dinner, and like trying to catch that mouse in the green dome thing there in the photo. I had some issues with my left leg, but it is working much better now. They tell me I am a good boy in the house, I am just looking for a different one – come on over and meet me. We’ll play!”
Notes from the adopter – When we got Alfredo, he had a badly swollen left front paw, probably from a fight on the streets. He was not using that paw at all. After weeks of antibiotics, it is much better. Today he uses the paw to play, scratch a scratcher, and to clean his face. He will walk on it, but will always slightly favor it. If he wants to move fast, he does not use it. He doesn’t mind much if you handle the paw, and he is a champ with medication. He is in very good shape – strong, well filled out, nice short coat. He really likes to play with other cats, and is fine sharing toys. He quickly learned where his food bowl was, and loves pets and attention.
He MUST be an inside cat because of the physical restrictions of his leg – could not run or climb if in danger outside. Being outside is how he was injured in the first place – his friendliness probably got him into trouble.
Alfredo has good manners in a home, is not scared of much (shredder, vacuum, etc) and really wants to be part of the group. He would probably do well in a busy home and even likely OK playing with a small cat-friendly dog. He definitely needs buddies and is certainly NOT a loner. Great cat!
