Velvet is a black silky, luxurious, shimmering, shy lady. She has a beautiful glistening coat with four white paws, a white chest and a sprinkle of white on her nose. Velvet's eyes are a golden hue and have a longing for someone to love her. She is a timid lab mix, around two years of age, and weighs about 42 pounds. Velvet's inner self is like a flower ready to bloom and she would easily be a remarkable iris or orchid in a flower garden. She is calm and does not appear to be bothered by other dogs. Velvet loves kisses, head rubs and ear massages!! She would appreciate a slow introduction because shelter life is stressful. All she needs is for you to come sit with her in the kennel, provide a few treats, some affection and she will feel comfortable. Velvet is the perfect soft pillow addition to your couch and or bed!! She is a wonderfully tranquil and serene family addition. She enjoys the outside but needs a patient owner to introduce her to a quiet, trusting and loving world. Velvet is the type of dog that you can easily pass by because she is so calm that she goes unnoticed.
