Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Willow! I'm a 1.5 year old German Shepherd, but I might be mixed with Belgian Malinois. I was so scared when my foster family picked me up in the mountain foothills after being there for a while! Not gonna lie, it's a little hard to trust people, so I can be a little shy, but my foster home has helped so much!
My perfect home in one word would be ...... chill. I'm more introverted, and the calmer the energy in the home, the better! If you like to sit and watch movies and give me some toys, I would be a happy camper! The occasional romp outside and some walks/hikes are perfect, but I really just want to be where you are.
Some kids I've met I adore - they came up to me calmly and pet me nicely. My fosters say a family with kids shouldn't bombard me while I get used to my new home - I agree! I need a patient family.
Cats don't like me. I think they don't know I want to play, and to be honest, I don't understand them. I love to play with the other dogs, too, but sometimes they don't understand me either. It's hard to get along with dominant females because I just don't want to be dominated, and they're a little scary. I love playing with the boys and the easy-going girls. Aspen, my German Shepherd puppy mate, is my best friend! I love her! But if I'm the only doggy in my new home, and I get showered with lots of love and affection, I couldn't ask for more! I might actually prefer that, come to think of it...
I just love my kennel that I share with Aspen - she's a great roommate! It is my safe space, too! I am potty trained. My favorite toy is a stuffed squirrel that I like to fling around - super fun!! I really just want a family I can call my own.
My fosters said a $50 adoption donation/fee would partially cover expenses to take care of me and my foster mates. They said I'm spayed, vaccinated (DHPP and rabies), and microchipped!
***If interested, please reach out. Our first step in adoption is filling out our adoption application. We will consider out of state adoptions, but please expect this to be a more complex process.

Additional adoption info
We do require adoption fees on most pets. The fee varies depending on the pet, the age, the vaccines and the spay/neuter cost. Through this fee, we are able to help alleviate the medical costs.
We have basic standards for our foster pets' safety and well-being, and 9 times out of 10, those standards are easily met. These usually fall along ensuring fence security, ensuring existing pets accept the pet, etc. This is determined through a meeting with the pet and his/her future family in our home check. Cats are strictly indoors. Dogs must be within fenced yards if outside is accessible.

More about this rescue
As a family, we've started taking in strays in 2007 and adopting them out to the public. Eventually, we've made contacts with the local shelter to adopt healthy pets from who are on the PTS (put-to-sleep) list due to the unfortunate lack of space at the shelter. Further, we bottle-feed and adopt out kittens and puppies who would otherwise have been euthanized. On a personal note, these bottle-fed babies are some of the best animals you will ever meet or make part of your family.
We are a very small rescue group and do what we can to help Earth's creatures find loving, permanent homes.
