My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow is about a year old German Shepherd who was dumped here in the high desert. So many good samaritans helped with her rescue, and now she's ready for her furever home.

She is such a sweetheart!!! She is a little shy (apprehensive) when getting to know new people. It took nearly a week for her to get comfortable with me! A patient family is required - small kids would be fine if they do not bombard her while she is getting used to her new family.
She loves cats and dogs (especially Jasmine and Aspen - her foster-mates). She has a more dominant personality that may clash with other dominant females, so if there are other dogs in the home, they would need to be more submissive. She would also do great in a single-dog family. She would adapt to any type of family lifestyle as she's got a very versatile personality - not too energetic, not too chill, just right. She's been both indoors/outdoors while with us (indoor strongly preferred by her!)
Favorite toy: stuffed squirrel she carries and swings around

Her adoption donation/fee helps to cover her spay, 2 sets of core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, and microchip.
She is currently on a waitlist to be spayed.
*If a family wants to adopt her prior to her spay, she will be on a foster-to-adopt arrangement. A refundable spay deposit of $50 is required and will be returned after she is spayed. Once spayed, we can complete the adoption process, and she'll officially be a new member of your family!

***If interested, please reach out. Our first step in adoption is filling out our adoption application. We will consider out of state adoptions, but please expect this to be a more complex process.

We will be showing her AUGUST 24 at PETCO in HESPERIA, CA

Additional adoption info

We do require adoption fees on most pets. The fee varies depending on the pet, the age, the vaccines and the spay/neuter cost. Through this fee, we are able to help alleviate the medical costs.

We have basic standards for our foster pets' safety and well-being, and 9 times out of 10, those standards are easily met. These usually fall along ensuring fence security, ensuring existing pets accept the pet, etc. This is determined through a meeting with the pet and his/her future family in our home check. Cats are strictly indoors. Dogs must be within fenced yards if outside is accessible.

Go meet their pets

Currently, we meet potential adopters on a one-on-one basis to determine the best fit for our fosters.

More about this rescue

As a family, we've started taking in strays in 2007 and adopting them out to the public. Eventually, we've made contacts with the local shelter to adopt healthy pets from who are on the PTS (put-to-sleep) list due to the unfortunate lack of space at the shelter. Further, we bottle-feed and adopt out kittens and puppies who would otherwise have been euthanized. On a personal note, these bottle-fed babies are some of the best animals you will ever meet or make part of your family.

We are a very small rescue group and do what we can to help Earth's creatures find loving, permanent homes.
