River came to Rescue when his owner realized he could not meet his needs. He had bought him from a breeder/Puppy Mill when River was 1 ½ yr. old....and didn't realize the commitment to owning a dog. River needs an experienced owner, someone who will take the time to introduce him to the world and the joy it can bring him. He's good with other dogs and cats. Children have not been a part of his life, so they do make him nervous at this time. He's a big boy, with his breeding, about 100#. He knows how to walk on the leash but is lower energy and is very content to hang out at home. River is now in foster care with a Trainer and learning every day. He's ready to find his new home and family. River's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com .
