My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What we know about Dolly:

Approx 1.5-2 years old
Female (spayed)
50 lbs
She has completed her fast kill treatment for HW's and is on monthly HW prevention.
UTD on shots
Microchipped
On flea/tick preventative
House trained
Not destructive (doesn't even destroy her stuffie toys)
Crate trained
Dolly has had training sessions with K9KPRO working on obedience, leash skills, and familiarity of being around other dogs.
With proper introductions, Dolly has done well with other dogs. A meet and greet will be required for any potential furry sibling.
She would do best in a home with no small children.
Dolly will greet you the most loving "WOOO'S" when she is excited to see you.

Dolly is a miracle. She was found in the middle of a timber farm in the middle of absolute nowhere. We don’t know how long she had been there, other than before being trapped, there were sightings of her for a week.
Upon capture, Dolly’s body and behaviors showed signs of her having a very difficult life. From the old, embedded collar scar to her flinching when her food bowl is picked up, there are many things that tell us she hasn’t had an easy life.
Nonetheless, this girl loves people and is incredibly smart.
Because her life prior to being trapped wasn’t a good one, it is apparent that Dolly had limited to no socialization when it comes to other animals. Likely her interactions with animals were not positive ones. With all of that said, with proper slow introductions, Dolly has done great with other dogs in her foster home. We believe she would be a great companion to another friendly dog or would do just fine in a home where she is the only pet.
Also, because of her tough upbringing, she likely was never able to really be a dog. So, there are times where she still will push her limits, like nibbling on toes and carrying around shoes (thankfully she does not chew, just likes to carry them like prizes). With these puppy-like behaviors, but her being a grown adult dog, we are recommending a home with no small children.
Dolly is worthy of finding the absolute best family that is the right fit for her.
