My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mira is a 5-7 year old Shar Pei mix. We adopted her from the Spotsylvania County Animal Shelter about 3 years ago. She has been our sweet and loving companion ever since. Her two favorite things in the world are cuddling and playing with us. She is a moderate energy dog, who is just as happy going on long walks or playing fetch as she is cuddled up next to us on the couch. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She does tend to get protective of her house and her people, and she will need some training to help her unlearn that habit. Unfortunately, I became disabled last year and I can no longer take care of her in the way she needs. She's a wonderful dog and I hope to place her in a loving home. She gets along great with other dogs. We don't have cats or kids, so we don't know her tempermant around them. We were working on training her, but my disability has made it difficult to keep up with. If you are looking for a sweet adult dog, Mira is your new best friend!
