My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abe is a sweet older gentleman who loves nothing more than a good nap, but he's pretty sure he'd be up for anything as long as it's with you. He's gentle and mostly easygoing, and his household etiquette is pretty solid though he may be a little unclear on the concept that some things aren't meant for him. Abe is a schnauzer right on the edge of miniature and standard who needs a little special care in the form of a prescription diet but otherwise is in excellent health for his age. He's good with kids and has always lived in a home with other dogs, specifically his brother Brad who he would very much love for you to meet as well.

Don't let Brad's smile fool you, he's actually even friendlier than he looks! He's a born cuddler and he'll be glued to your side, especially if you might be getting treats. This dapper senior has added a few lumps and bumps over the years, but they haven't slowed him down at all. He's house-trained, enjoys walks, and knows a trick or two, though he might need a little help remembering all that as he's been a bit out of practice. Brad has adapted well to a lot of changes over the last year or so, but one thing that has been consistent in his life is sharing a crate with his brother Abe who is also here looking for a new forever home.

More about this rescue

People’s Anti Cruelty Association / Albuquerque Animal Rescue (PACA), a No-Kill rescue group, was founded in 1973. Our main mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehouse homeless dogs and cats. PACA has no shelter facility and relies on an organized network of foster parents who graciously take animals into their homes and hearts until permanent homes are found.
