Pitch is an adorable 8-month-old bloodhound mix with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. This sweet pup is looking for a forever home where he can grow, learn, and share all the cuddles he's got to offer.

About Pitch:

Temperament: Friendly, curious, and eager to please. Pitch loves exploring new scents and enjoys playtime as much as snuggling up for a nap. Very cuddly.

Training: As a young pup, Pitch is still learning the ropes but is quick to pick up on commands and is eager to please. With a bit of patience and consistency, he'll be a well-behaved companion in no time.

Great with Other Pets: Pitch gets along well with other dogs and would love a furry sibling to play with.

Active and Playful: He has plenty of puppy energy and would thrive in an active home where he can get regular exercise and mental stimulation. But he also loves his naps!!

Fun fact: Pitch loves playing in water at the lake in the dog park! He is even learning to swim!

Special Note:

Bloodhounds are prone to gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), a serious condition. To prevent this, we perform Gastropexy on all our bloodhounds.

Without this preventative surgery, owners could face costly emergency procedures or euthanasia. Please read up on GDV to understand the importance of this measure.

Adoption Fee: $750 (he has $100 sponsorship making his fee now $650)

**Included:**
- Neutered
- Gastropexy surgery
- Up to date on all vaccines
- Microchipped
- Heartworm negative

More about this rescue

The London Sanctuary (TLS) focuses on providing a safe haven for elderly and unwanted Beagles and Hound Dogs, as well as other at-risk, large to medium-sized breeds, as space and funds permit. Special consideration is given to hounds of all types, which are also greatly at risk in northeast Florida.

• TLS rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes as many dogs from area shelters as possible. Our priority is to save dogs most at-risk of euthanasia in shelter facilities.
• TLS attempts to place dogs through online pet-listing services and forums, and social media.
• TLS thoroughly screens prospective owners with home and veterinary reference checks.
• TLS houses a limited number of dogs as care-for-life dogs that cannot be placed either due to age and/or medical conditions.
• TLS provides ongoing support and education to all adopters.
• TLS spays/neuters and gives required immunizations and necessary medical treatment to all dogs prior to placement.
