This is Shocka! She’s a Terrier mix born 8/22/2019. Shocka is a very loving, playful and trainable dog. Once she is comfortable around her human, you become her whole world. She loves to cuddle and receive belly rubs. Shocka is a short haired dog so she isn't a big fan of cold weather. During the winter months, she will not stay outside too long so short walks is all she is interested in. Anything below 50 degrees is not her thing. She is very much a warm loving dog. She will bask in the sunshine, keep your feet warm and will find the warmest part of your body to cuddle next to. Shocka is a very protective dog and will bark at anything or anyone who comes near you or your home. It is not recommended that her new family have shared walls. Delivery drivers always receive her warning barks even if they’re not delivering to your home. New people also stress her out. Shocka would not do well in a home who has different people visiting the home on a consistent basis. She has been known to bite when strangers get too close. A muzzle would be recommended when she is meeting new people for the first time. Vet visits are unique in that she does better when her human is in the room with her. She will often throw her arms around me in a hug during a vet visit. She is good with other dogs and cats. She is playful but very territorial when it comes to her food. I would recommend feeding her in her kennel to lower the risk of guarding. Shocka has a very adorable underbite and has a cute way of showing you her teeth when she knows she’s done something wrong. It is often difficult to remain annoyed with her when she smiles at you with her underbite. She loves to be petted and is very playful. She loves to chew toys and blankets. She has abandonment anxiety and will chew on things if you leave the home for too long. It is recommended you have lots of chew toys and blankets around to help. She always welcomes me at the door whenever I come home, sit for her treats and is a cuddle buddy at night. She would make an excellent companion and addition to your home as long as you can be patient as she works through some issues.
Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00
