My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Hippo! I am not a purebred Russian Blue and I am not hypoallergenic, but I have a lovely silvery gray coat.

I can be a little shy at first (aren’t we all!), but I warm up quickly. I am gentle, friendly, and intelligent. I am the mischievous one out of the bunch, and always lead my sister and brother into shenanigans. I love to play and love to explore!

I need to be adopted with one of my littermates, unless you already have another young, friendly kitten to be my buddy.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes:
(1) The application;
(2) An in-person meeting with the cat and an HCN volunteer (currently mostly/all contact-free due to the pandemic); and
(3) A home visit (currently virtual in most cases due to the pandemic) to discuss safety and adjustment issues, prior to or at the time of adoption.
An adoption contract will be signed and an adoption fee collected.
