My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sami needs a home!  Are you ever shy in a room full of strangers? Do you observe people before you decide to engage? Is it sometimes hard to make friends or build relationships. Don't answer. Just know that all those feeling are what Sami feels. I bet many of us can relate. Right?

Meet Sami! She is a very sweet girly who will ask politely for your attention with a little mew and approach you. You'll want to proceed slowly with your pets and observe her body language. Does she duck away? It's ok. Just hold still and you'll get a head butt on your hand giving you permission to give her pets, chin scratches and  belly rubs. She loves Churu and will happily take this treat out of your hand. We use Churu to facilitate bonding and she is 100% Churu motivated! Sami will need an adult confident cat friend. She is a "cats cat" but with lots of patience she will want affection from her humans. In fact, the resident cats have helped her bond with her foster family.

Once she bonds with you, she'll enjoy naps in your lap or on your chest, snuggling next to you on the couch and she may even steal your pillow eventually! She is just waiting to blossom.in the right environment where is feels love and safety. Please contact her foster at mariward@comcast.net to meet Sami!  Thank you for considering a rescued kitten! 

Sami will be at the Clayton Pet Food Express.  Clayton hours are every Saturday and Sunday, 10am-1:30pm.  Clayton store is located at 5404 Ygnacio Valley Rd.

HALO's cats and kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express in Antioch and Clayton. Antioch hours are every Friday 4pm-7pm plus Saturday and Sunday 10am-1:30pm (except the third Saturday, we do not have an adoption event). Antioch store is located at 5829 Lone Tree Way, Suite B, Antioch, CA.   

Please check ahead to see which store the kitty you are interested in will be at.  Please bring your own carrier!
