My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archer is a 2 year and 8 month old, mixed-breed dog that weighs 54 lbs. We think he looks like a yellow lab but cant be sure without a dna test.

Our boy is an energetic and curious dog who loves adventures. He also loves attention and playing especially if there are squeaky toys involved. Archer knows commands such as sit and stay and when food is involved he is sure to learn anything else you want to team him. He is also house trained and crate trained! Archer is ok on the lead and only pulls when he sees interesting stuff like squirrels. He Is dog selective - some dogs he is ok with but some he does not get along.

Archer made his debut at a public event and did great! He was very sweet to everyone who came up to him and when you started giving him love he would roll over for belly rubs. No matter who came up, Archer would give out kisses and hugs and just loved being loved on. He can be jumpy but calms down quickly. Archer is great with young children and would make a fine family pet. He is fine with visitors in his home and is excited to get more attention. He was ok with the dogs around him, but we made sure to give him plenty of room.

If you think Archer sounds like he could fit in your family, apply at www.caninecollective.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
