My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Astilbe. My new favorite pastime is playing soccer with cherry tomatoes that have fallen. If I can't find a tomato, any ball will do the trick. When I'm not playing soccer, I become the most snuggly purr monster you've ever seen. I love being held and snuggled as close to humans as possible! Whenever I see someone sitting down, I see if they need a cuddle. My foster family thinks I'm the sweetest cat they've ever met.

I also enjoy playing with my sister and the other resident cats. I get along with the resident dog and don't mind when he barks out the window. I'm always excited to meet new people and fill some laps. I have had a lot of visitors and I don't mind them one bit. Are you ready for snuggle-bug like me?

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Astilbe will need to be adopted with his sibling Salvia or another BKB kitten.

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
