Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated Bio: Amy came in to rescue along with Jeff. They were in desperate need of vet care and haircuts. Now their new coats have come in and they are soft and mat-free!
Amy is a 2 year old, standard aussie at about 40 pounds. She is playful and friendly once she gets to know you, but is wary at first and requires slow introductions. She is most wary of men and children. She is a bit of an attention hog, but isn't rude about it. She simply knows that people give the best snuggles and she never passes up an opportunity to get some head scratches.
Her foster is taking her through obedience classes to work on her socialization and confidence building. Her perfect family would continue classes with her and take the time to do slow introductions.
The details:
Needs fence: No
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with kids: 13+ with slow intros
Good with cats: no exposure
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
