Meet Katie! Katie is a dilute calico with beautiful green eyes and is an independent, loving, and playful girl who loves pets but is just as content alone.
She is quiet and rarely meows, but she greet you with the smallest meow when you come home. While it will take some time for Katie to warm up to you, once she does she will rubbing up against you, giving you head bumps, curling her tail around your legs and giving you love bites, all while soaking up the pets. She likes head and butt pets and will purr and purr for you.
Katie is a good huntress and loves whack a mole type of play and chasing ribbon, feather or worm teasers. She loves Temptation treats also has very clean litter box habitats.
Katie was rescued from a lifetime outside and while we don't know her exact story, we expect she was being cared for as an outside cat, but was allowed inside occasionally and the person moved away. Katie is friendly but shy and is not used to the comforts of the indoors, she prefers the floor to a blanket or bed (but she is starting to enjoy a nice fluffy blanket and even the bed on occasion). She was leery of things like laptops, music and the telephone at first and still doesn't like lots of noise and activity around her, because of this, she would do best in a quieter home with little commotion. After all that time outside, it's no surprise she is reserved and scared sometimes, but she will come out of her shell with some gentle words, head pets, treats and time. While she does get along with other cats, Katie would do well as an only cat as well.
Whatever her past, she is still an affectionate, spunky girl with a little bit of sass and is on her way to a better, safer life indoors!
Katie is around 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Adopting a cat is a big responsibility and commitment, but it's also one of the biggest acts you can ever do for an animal in need.
Each and every cat in our care has their own story and background. They are all fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative (unless otherwise specified). Because of this, our adoption fee is $95 for one cat over 1-year-old or $155 for 2 and $110 for one cat under 1-year-old or $195 for 2.
Our approval process includes a vet reference (personal reference if you've not had a vet in the last 5 years), virtual home tour, and landlord approval should you be a renter.
The completion of an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
