Meet Katie. This dilute calico with beautiful green eyes is an independent girl who loves pets. She loves spending time with her person but is just as content alone.
While it will take some time for Katie to warm up to you, once she does she will be rubbing up against you, giving you head bumps, and curling her tail around your leg all while soaking up the pets. She likes head and butt pets and especially likes to lay at your feet. Katie is a quiet girl who gives the smallest meow once she's comfortable and she can be hissy when she's unsure of something.
She's a good huntress and with that loves whack-a-mole type of play and chasing feather or worm teasers. She loves Temptation treats and also has very clean litter box habitats.
Since Katie was rescued from a life on the streets, it's no surprise she gets a little scared but she will come out of her shell with some gentle words, head pets, and time. She is still getting acclimated to the comforts of indoor life and a lot of things are new to her. She would do best in a quieter home with little commotion.
While she does get along with other cats, Katie would do well as an only cat. If you have a window she can bird watch from or even a catio, Katie would be living her best life. Since she was used to outside for so long, you'll need to be careful that she doesn't try to escape.
Katie is around 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Adopting a cat is a big responsibility and commitment, but it's also one of the biggest acts you can ever do for an animal in need.
Each and every cat in our care has their own story and background. They are all fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative (unless otherwise specified). Because of this, our adoption fee is $95 for one cat over 1-year-old or $155 for 2 and $110 for one cat under 1-year-old or $195 for 2.
Our approval process includes a vet reference (personal reference if you've not had a vet in the last 5 years), virtual home tour, and landlord approval should you be a renter.
The completion of an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
