My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‘T’ THEMED KITTEN:  Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 5 lbs. & growing

Hi there, I’m Tessa – one of the adorable ‘T’ themed Tuxedo kittens who came to Mostly Mutts as an owner turn-in.  I’m having fun at the shelter with my kitty friends and all the really nice volunteers that come to take care of and spend time with me.  I hear that I’m now ready to find my furever family and I’m very excited about that!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I’ve been making friends in the Kitty Room at the shelter, so if you have a kitty at home already, let’s meet! / I haven’t met dogs yet, so if you have a gentle dog that likes kitties, let’s meet. / I also have not met kids, so if you have kids that know how to gently handle a kitty, let’s meet and best no toddlers or very young kids.

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  The volunteers say that I’m sweet and that I like it when they come to me and pick me up for some lap time and cuddling!  I think I’m settling in nicely and my cute personality is coming out more and more each day!

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I am litter trained at Mostly Mutts.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy the kitten room that I’m in at Mostly Mutts and I also like all the other normal things that kittens like, so let’s have some fun together! / I can’t think of any dislikes yet as I’ve only been with Mostly Mutts for a short time.

• MEDICAL:  I’ve started my kitten shots, but you must finish those for me as I grow. I’m spayed and microchipped.

I’m an adorable kitten looking for a great family for life!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
