My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 year old Stella may be the sweetest, most friendly, rough-and-tumble girl you'll ever meet! If you give this 54 pound cutie the chance, she'll shower you with face licks and snuggles. With her soft fur and loving personality, she's always ready to curl up in your lap for pets and snuggles. Stella loves plush toys and chewies, and you can often find her happily rolling around with them, entertaining herself. She does tend to get a little mouthy when playing and has shown some toy guarding with her foster brother, but she's still adjusting to her new environment. Otherwise, she plays well with her foster brother, matching his rowdy, bitey play style. At just over 1 year old, Stella has energy to spare and loves inviting others to play, but she also knows when to back off. She has been friendly with all dogs she's met so far, and while she does bark at them out of excitement when she sees them on walks, she isn't aggressive. In fact, she's great on the leash, doesn't pull, and loves checking in with her walker. Stella is crate-trained, and while she barked and whined at first when confined outside her people's sight, she's already made amazing progress as she's settled into feeling safe in her foster home. Stella is also great with her 5-year-old human foster sister, though because of her playful nature and occasional mouthiness, she may not be the best fit for a home with very small children. With her joyful smile, friendly personality, and loving spirit, Stella is ready to bring tons of love and fun to her forever home. Could Stella be the missing piece to complete your family? More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
