Meet Nova,

Nova was rescued from one of the worst dog sledding kennels in September 2022. There were close to 250 dogs living on short chains in filth.

She has lived in a home since her rescue day. She was so traumatized from her past that it has been so difficult to get her to trust fully. She has come a long way but still has more to go.

She no longer shakes when you approach her. She willingly takes treats from you and gets really excited when it’s meal time or when you arrive back home.

Nova doesn’t really play with toys and doesn’t really come for cuddles or pets and will need more work to enjoy being pet.

She walks great on a leash, however at times will still attempt to “circle” like she is still tied on the chain.

She is great with other dogs, cats, and kids.

The home that Nova is in now is very busy and they feel that she needs a quiet home with possibly one other dog to help her build more courage. Her current home has 2 other dogs that are more dominant and we feel that this has prevented her from having her own confidence.
