For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Cody and his kitten Cavie are the most playful and fun pair! Cody came to us in July from Texas, and he had a pretty hard time adjusting. He is a nervous boy who prefers the company of other cats, rather than humans. Cody is not very affectionate and even after spending 2 months with us, he really does not like to be handled. Cavie on the other hand, is a crazy little lady with all the love to give! We paired them together since Cavie was a lonesome kitten and Cody desperately wanted a friend. He took to her right away and Cavie is so smitten with him! There will never be a dull moment with these too, they both have so much energy and love to play all day long. Once comfortable in a home, we think Cody may be better with human interaction since the shelter is a scary place for an anxious guy. They would do best in a home with no dogs and older kids.
With questions about Cody and Cavie, or any of our other adoptable cats, please contact Olivia at olivia.warburton@rispca.org

Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
