Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey There! My name is Zeppy! I am a sweet and loving 7 year old and a big boy at about 88 lbs.! I have to say I have a bit of a colorful past and when my Dad passed away recently, I found myself without a home. Fortunately his family reached out to SCLRR and here I am!
I love to go on walks and my foster mom says I am good on the leash and don't pull at all! I get along with my foster brothers, but they don't love me so much. When they bark at me I am passive and just walk away. It makes me kind of sad. I would really like to be their buddy. I would love to have some friends.
I like to play and run in the backyard and chase tennis balls, but my absolute favorite thing in the world is playing Tug of War! I will play all day, everyday! My foster mom says I am pretty mouthy and forget my manners sometimes. I am working on that. I also forget how big I am and don't know my own strength. I tend to want to be the first one out the door and will knock my smaller foster brothers out of the way. So, it would be best if my new family doesn't have anyone younger than 10.
I am told I do have a couple weaknesses. Don't we all? I am a professional counter surfer! I think I am pretty amazing at it, but my foster mom isn't amused or impressed. I help unload the groceries while she is getting the rest out of the car. Sometimes I am so good at it, she doesn't even realize something is missing until she finds the empty wrapper! Like I said, I am a professional!
All in all, I am just your typical Labrador! I am a medium energy boy and am told I am a young 7 year old. I can been left in the house alone and have only had 2 accidents. I will tell you when I need to go out. I am a love bug with a tail that never stops wagging. I like to be near you and will follow you everywhere in the house. I have a rich, dark black coat of fur that will just envelope your hands when you pet me. And I love that!
I am a diamond in the rough who just needs a little polish. I would just love to become a member of a family who will love me forever. I guarantee I will brighten your life! My foster mom says I have already done that for her and it has only been a few short weeks!
If you are my family, please reach out to your foster rep. I will be waiting for you to come play tug of war with me!
If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative.
If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.
