Meet Blue!

Blue is brand new to the shelter, but truly an absolutely stunning pup! With those piercing blue eyes and beautiful long coat, Blue is a looker for sure! This pup is brand new to the shelter, so we're still getting to know her personality and will update shortly.

Blue is approx. 8 months young, and is an active girly. This beauty will need a 6 foot fence (as she can be a bit of an escape artist and jumper), or a committed walker who is able to dedicate the time needed to ensure she gets her exercise and training. Unfortunately Blue's previous owner kept her crated away in the garage or left outside alone for long periods of time, which is how this young girl kept escaping. Our beautiful Blue just wants the freedom to play and give/receive affection. Given her young, impressionable age we feel that she could very easily learn proper manners given the right positive reinforcement training and healthy motivation (some yummy snacks can't hurt!).

We encourage you to meet the furry friend you are interested in before filling out an application.

Meet the Pet

Submit Application

Once you find the furry friend you want to adopt, a quick adoption application will need to be filled out.

4.
Approve Application

After the application is submitted, we will review it and contact you if your application is chosen.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once your application is approved, we will contact you to finalize the adoption process!

All that is needed for the adoption application is a
**valid driver license**

We are located at 1600 Johnson Road in Petersburg, Virginia.
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 10am till 3pm.
We are closed Saturdays and Sundays (as well as holidays).
However, if needed before or after hours, please give us a call!
