Travis is a six-year-old terrier mix with a charming smile and an irresistible personality. This dapper, scruffy gentleman is the epitome of calm and sweet, making him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a low-energy, easy-going friend. A low rider at 18 pounds, the kids these days might refer to Travis as "thick."
When Travis first came to the rescue, he was in pretty rough shape. He suffered from a severe skin infection, and despite being given a clean bill of health now, Travis sustained significant hair follicle damage. Though much of his hair has grown in beautifully, it is likely that the hair on his back half will never grow back in. However, Travis has not let his male pattern baldness slow him down in the slightest!
It is a true testament to his wonderful disposition that he is so friendly and joyful despite these past struggles. A lover of all people and other dogs, his warm demeanor makes him an instant favorite in any social setting. (Bonus points if there are tennis balls and stuffed animals!) He is house trained, knows how to use the dog door, and does great in his kennel over night. With his winning personality and gentle nature, Travis is sure to capture your heart and make an excellent addition to any loving home.

More about this rescue
S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition works to promote adoption through new adoption events, more public exposure of pets for adoption, and help the public make a good match with an adoptable animal.
Rescue groups work very hard to save animals every day, often using their own money, sacrificing time with family etc. We have animals from shelters and the streets of Houston that are now adoptable pets and we area helping these animals find permanent, loving homes.
We are all volunteer and no funds are spent for salaries, benefits etc. All money goes directly to the rescue group or their animals.
