Meet Suki, the epitome of feline sweetness! This gentle soul is a purring powerhouse, always eager to curl up next to her favorite human. With her curious nature, Suki loves to explore her surroundings, but what she enjoys most is following you around, snuggling up on top for you for hours while producing the most adorable purring symphony.
Suki is not only a loving companion but also a fantastic friend to other pets. Although she might be a bit shy at first, she warms up quickly, revealing her affectionate personality. And let’s not forget her fur—it’s so soft and luxurious, it feels like a cloud!
Suki would make an extraordinary addition to any home, bringing warmth, love, and endless snuggles. Don’t miss the chance to welcome this delightful girl into your life!
------------------------
Suki was returned by her amazing adopters because she was found to be extremely sick, and it turns out she has a chronic illness caused by a bacteria called hemobartonella. This bacteria can cause cat scratch fever in animals or humans if it goes untreated, but luckily her former adopters got her into the vet ASAP and began treatment so Suki can live a normal life! Suki is a 6-month-old blue (grey) long-haired kitten. Here are some things you should know about Suki: her chronic illness is treatable and is only transmittable through flea dirt. Suki likely contracted this illness from flea bites while she was living in the woods of Quincy, FL. Because Suki’s illness is only transmittable through flea dirt, the solution is that she must remain on a monthly prescription flea medicine for the remainder of her life (which many pet owners should be doing anyway)! Suki will be a special needs adoption because of her need to stay on a prescription flea medication. She must have access to prescription antibiotics in case of a relapse in her illness (which can be your regular vet), and cannot live with immuno-compromised humans or animals due to the possibility of the illness impacting those with immune deficiencies more severely.
