My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From our awesome volunteer Jay's: "Jarvis likes to talk when I take him for a walk. He doesn’t bark or whimper but sounds a little like a monkey. At first, I thought he was anxious, but now it feels like he is just commenting on what we see on our walk. I now talk back. He is also really great on the leash."

Meet Jarvis, the 2.5-year-old superstar with a heart as big as his energy! Jarvis is the perfect mix of playfulness and loyalty, always ready to dive into any adventure you throw his way. His days are filled with joy, whether he's racing across the yard, showing off his swimming skills, or happily trotting alongside you on a hike.

When he’s not busy exploring, Jarvis adores his cuddle time and will settle in for snuggles as soon as you’re ready. He’s a social pup, having made friends with both boy and girl dogs at the shelter, and enjoyed life with a dog as a housemate.

Jarvis’s boundless affection and friendly nature make him the perfect companion for anyone looking to add warmth and excitement to their home. Come meet this delightful bundle of love at the Animal Farm Foundation and let Jarvis bring his happiness and loyalty to your family! Jarvis is available for adoption through both Animal Farm Foundation and his originating shelter, The Walden Humane Society.

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
