“Hi my name is Poppy.

I am cute, fluffy, energetic and smart. I am learning to do my business outside in the morning after a full night of sleep. I do still cry a little at bed time but that is just because my foster family and my foster big sister make me feel so loved.
I am learning to sit and wait before I eat, leave my kennel and come in side.

I don’t always like to get my paws wiped when I come in but I am learning to be patient. I do not have any aggression about my food but sometimes I get mad at my “sister” when she has a toy I decide that I want. We love to wrestle and play fight but we also sometimes share our toys and sleep together.

I am also learning to walk on a leash, sit, lay down and shake a paw on command. I LOVE food and will do almost anything for it.

I love kids and play well with other dogs, I haven’t met any cats yet so can’t say if they are my friends or not.”

Poppy is a high energy pup that would do best with an active family to keep her happy!

Although they may be cute, puppies are a lot of work! Puppies need families that are home often to continue working on their house training and socialization. Their adoptive family must be committed to registering them for obedience classes.

Poppy is current on age appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. She is being fostered in Hamilton, ON.
