Things to Know About Morton:
- Rescued from Mississippi with his siblings.
- Morton shows his affection with lots of kisses and loves to snuggle on the couch once he’s comfortable with someone.
- Though shy at first, once Morton warms up, he loves deeply and bonds strongly with his people and dog friends. His sweet, loyal nature shines through once he feels safe.
- Heartworm positive and receiving treatment through TLC Rescue.
- Very smiley, happy boy who loves popcorn and treats.
- Great and sweet dog; loves head scratches.
- He loves balls, toys, and chew sticks. He enjoys chasing a ball, though he hasn’t quite mastered bringing it back yet.
- Morton is playful and full of fun energy. He has a quirky habit of hoarding his favorite items like carrots and chew sticks, piling them up or lying on them to keep them away from other dogs.
- Loves car rides and naps. Still learning how to load up in the car and jump out on his own.
- Morton loves his crate, goes in willingly, and is quiet. He is not left outside the crate unsupervised
- Doing very well with housebreaking.
- Dog-friendly - Morton warms up to new dogs quickly and loves to play
- He loves to wrestle and chase his foster brothers around the yard, often crouching down before pouncing on them.
- Has not been assessed with cats yet.

If your application is approved, we will send you an email with details about the next steps.
Meet the Pet
You can meet our dogs at a public meet & greet or schedule an appointment with a particular dog you want to adopt
Sign Adoption Contract
We will schedule a private appointment for you to spend time w/ the dog and determine whether it's a good all around fit
Pay Fee
If you decide to adopt you will sign the adoption agreement & pay an adoption fee; we will also review the dog's vet records w/you
Take the Pet Home
Please do not schedule a meeting if you are not prepared to adopt the dog if it's a good fit an take it home from the appointment
