My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** SPECIAL NEEDS CAT ** Evie is a tiny tortoiseshell young adult female cat.  She is as friendly as can be!  She was brought to CRAN as a bottle baby, and has been living ever since in a loving foster home.  She loves water and will sit by the sink waiting for it to be turned on so she can drink and play with the water.  She is super loving with other cats, dogs, and people.  She is fearless and warms up quickly.  Due to her petite size, she will always remain looking like a kitten.

** Evie is a special needs cat as she has an oversized colon and doesn’t have full control of her bowels.  There is clean up required with her care since she doesn’t always make it to the litter box (although she always pees in her box).  This doesn’t affect her sweet personality at all--Evie is a very loving girl who is ready for her forever home.  Are you that caring someone ready to give her a chance?

Evie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Evie in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 2303-C0107

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
