Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi! Nice to meet you. My name is Bear. I am a 2-year-old cattle dog mix weighing just under 40 lbs and am looking for my fur-ever family! I came from Michigan, and because of landlord issues, I was separated from my family. But I am keeping my head up and settling into my routine here at the Sedona Humane Society.
My friends here are still getting to know me, but I`ve been showing off my tug-o-war skills! When I see a rope toy, my eyes light up and it`s time to go! I love to play with my family and I`m just a fun loving guy. My previous owner shared that I get along with other dogs but know that I`d like to meet your dogs too, just to make sure we are a good fit together!
We think Bear will make a great companion dog and we`re excited for you to meet him! Please call 928-282-4679 between 10am-4pm to make an appointment. We know you`ll have a good time!

More about this shelter
Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.
The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.
The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.
Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.
The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
