My name is DRAKE!

REPORTED BY FORMER CARETAKER:
Drake and his brother Ty, were in the care of a relative that would come to their home and feed them after their owner passed away until they could come to the shelter. They spent their days in the backyard outside and nights in a crate in the home. Drake is good being left alone for up to 8 hours per day and is crate trained and house trained. He walks well on the leash and knows the sit, no and come commands. He has a medium energy level. He is a pure-bred Labrador Retriever.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:
Drake is a timid fellow that appreciates a gentle approach. Smaller children would most likely overwhelm him, so a home with older, dog-savvy children would be best. He was recently groomed and did great! He doesn’t like cats, but did live with his brother, Ty and they get along very well. We recommend older, dog-savvy children.
