My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Library has quite a story to tell.  I wish she could talk!  She was found as a stray and brought to a shelter that doesn’t normally take cats. She was living outside in a condo under a tarp with a large mass on her paw. AND she was believed to be pregnant. She came to the pregnancy suite in her foster home while preparations were made for her to have little book babies And we waited, and waited, and waited. Her belly got bigger and bigger.  We found out that was from all the good kitten food she was eating, because eventually we found out Library was not pregnant at all. In fact she is 9 years old and when they shaved her belly for spay they found a tattoo. Her paw has been taken care of and she is now on an appropriate diet for a senior gal.  Library is ready to find a nice quiet library-like home to call her own. She does not appreciate the volume in her busy foster home with kids, cats and dogs but is co-existing in the chaos.  She would much prefer the hushed sounds of a library environment!!  Please consider giving this gal a quiet home to live out her golden years.

Additional adoption info

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.

If you need info on a cat or kitten please contact 859-391-2944
