My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katy. She is the sweetest little girl. She does very well in the kennel, knows commands sit, lay down, and paw (with visual communication more than verbal words), and does well in a kennel. She loves chew bones and plushies as toys (also shoes lol but we're working on that). She does excellent with all sized dogs and does great with cats as well. Walks very well on leash and gets in and out of the car with ease. She is going to be a great dog for a future owner.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
