Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Pros: *Housetrained *Walks well on a leash, especially with a harness *Out of the puppy phase but still full of energy *Kennel trained *Good with older kids who are calm and respectful *Okay with cats as long as he is monitored *Lived with small dogs before but didn't interact much with them *Knows sit, lay down, wait, stay, okay, and off *Prefers to sleep in his kennel *Stays off furniture and has never been destructive while in the house
Cons: *He did have one bite when he was adopted 3 years ago- has had no issues since and did great during his assessment *He loves to get in the car but occasionally gets car sick *Would prefer a quieter home with a fairly active family
Would Banner be the perfect pup for you? Fill out an adoption application and if approved we will reach out within two days to set up a 60-minute meet-and-greet/adoption appointment. All dog adoptions include one free week of virtual training through the service GoodPUP. More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Barron County is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving Barron County and surrounding areas.
Established in 1978 by a small but dedicated group of core volunteers, the HSBC started out with these volunteers taking animals into their own homes and advertising the need for forever homes for these animals. Over the years, since this humble beginning the HSBC has grown into the organization that it is today. From the homes of volunteers, relying on fundraising and the generous donations of our community, we have grown into and remain in our home on Guy Avenue in Barron.
HSBC is operated by a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers, as well as funds from donations, adoptions, memberships and fundraisers to keep our doors open for the animals needing our assistance.
We sincerely thank you for making this possible.
