Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Olaf is a 6-7 year old boy we rescued from the euthanasia list from a Kansas shelter. A perfect gentleman and so grateful to be rescued, he jumped right in the car like he'd been doing it his whole life. He was pretty dirty and completely matted. No one had paid attention to his grooming needs in years it seems. We brushed and brushed pulling out trash cans full of hair, his undercoat coming out in big clumps. And after a bath, we cut TONS of mats out, not being able to brush through them. Then we discovered red and irritated skin all over his body that turned out to be a staph infection. He's on an antibiotic to help clear up his infection and is feeling better already and his skin is healing.
We decided this Gentle Giant needed a new name and a new beginning. Meet Olaf, the sweetest, gentlest soul you'll ever come across. And his big, soulful eyes will melt your heart in seconds. In fact he had us at hello. We can tell Olaf was accustomed to being in the house before he came to us. He has excellent house manners and is house trained. He gets along well with other dogs and likes everybody he meets, soaking up pets, attention, and doling out hugs and Pyr paws. Olaf doesn't really go anywhere fast, but he does have a playful side and gets the zoomies about once a day that is fun to watch. And with his deep bark, Olaf will ward off all predators!
Adoption Requirements:
*A secure, visible fence
*A home visit
*A vet check with at least a two year vet history
Olaf is neutered, up to date on vaccines, up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and microchipped.
