His courses of Cerenia, Elura, and fluids were extended and he was prescribed Buprenorphine and Clindamycin for the ulcers.
On 8/12, Samson was started on Doxycycline as he was showing signs of an upper respiratory infection as well. On 8/13, his symptoms were also worsening, so he was started on Cerenia, Elura, and fluids. He was "Shut down, does not enjoy handling but allows it.
On 8/13, they allowed petting, but Samson flinched away at first.
Both are diagnosed with progressive upper respiratory infections, poor body condition, and chronic dermatitis (possibly due to flea allergies). Jax and Samson are in urgent need of placement with a rescue partner to prevent further decline at the shelter.
