Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095) from 11am - 3pm.
Meet Elgin, a charming and adorable, one-year-and-five-month-old Pittie mix weighing 60 pounds :-)
Elgin captivates everyone he meets with with his striking eyes, his affectionate demeanor, and his delightful bursts of puppy energy. Of all the dogs I've fostered, he has garnered by far the most positive response from people on the streets during his walks. Elgin is completely housebroken and thoroughly crate trained, very friendly towards humans (adults and children) and other dogs. He is never aggressive towards people or pets, but he does like to chase birds, rodents, and squirrels. While he loves the company of fellow canines, he's equally content spending quality time with his human(s).
Elgin's favorite treats include doggie biscuits and peanut butter (especially when he's licking it out of a KONG), and he loves to play with his rope toy. Although he's extremely energetic and full of joy during his walks, he is very calm when at home, and spends much of the day napping between play sessions and displays of affection towards his human(s). Elgin is fast as lightning when allowed to run without a leash, and he would love a forever home that includes a yard and/or provides other situations where he can sometimes run free.
If you seek a delightful doggo to bring tremendous joy, love, and happiness into your life, Elgin may be the ideal choice for you. Currently fostered in Toms River, NJ, his adoption fee is $425.
to adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
