Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Maria! I'm a, happy go lucky, little spaniel mix girl that has to say hello and give kisses to absolutely everyone that I meet. I'm defiantly a snuggle bug, I just need a lap to rest my head on. I am about 1 year old and weigh in at 34 pounds. I'm crate trained, know how to use a doggy door and am working on house training. I've spent most of my life on the streets or in a shelter, so I still could use some training. I love to make my people happy and getting yummy treats, which will make training much easier. Small children do make me nervous, I need slow and steady introductions. Please come to the shelter today to meet and hopefully fall in love with me. You can also call the shelter at 479-394-5682 for any other questions. **************** All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.
Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.
Adoption Fees: -$60 for cats -$60 for dogs over 6 years -$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years -$100 for puppies up to 6 months
Come visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.

When you decide to adopt a pet, we charge a fee to cover some of our costs. (Except for 2 employees, all others are volunteers!) If there is any problem with your adopted pet, call us to work out a solution. Occasionally, we do take adopted pets back, but very seldom. This is why visiting our shelter is so important! We are willing to work with you! And we appreciate referrals!
