FOR ADOPTION: COFFEE is the newest pup on the block looking for his forever family. This little fella was abandoned in downtown Smithers, picked up by the Town of Smithers Bylaw Officer and never claimed so he has now become ours and is so ready to have his happily ever after! Our vet has estimated Coffee to be about 13 weeks old based on his teeth, he is currently 10 kg and should mature between 14 and 20kg. Coffee is a fun, spunky, medium energy pup right now that should mature to be a higher medium energy dog. Are you looking for a jogging, hiking, biking or skiing buddy? If so we have a pup for you! Coffee is also incredibly smart and eager to please. He has already learned to come when called and is starting to work on sit, wait and focus. Coffee is mostly house trained. So far he has been non destructive with his toys, bedding and newspapers. As an intelligent, active little dog Coffee will require regular mental and physical stimulation to keep him on his best behaviour. Coffee has been very good with the kids that frequent our shelter. He will jump up for attention (we are working on this) but he is not mouthy etc. At this point Coffee has had limited exposure to other dogs and cats while in our care. He is excited about seeing the mature dogs through the fence and ready to get into a home where he can socialize much easier. Coffee is vaccinated and will be up to date on parasite control before he heads to a new home. If you’ve been looking for a medium sized adventure buddy apply
