Hi there! I’m Misty, and I’m as cute as a button! I’m friendly, but I can be a little shy at first—new places make me nervous, and I’m not sure where to go or who to trust just yet. When it comes to food, I’m a bit picky, but my foster mom gave me yummy canned food, and I loved it! After some time, I figured out that kibble is tasty too!
I love affection, but please don’t pick me up just yet—I’m still figuring that out, and it makes me a little scared. But if you give me attention with my feet on the ground, I’m all yours! ??
Ribbons and toys in my face can be a little scary because I never know what they’re going to do. I’m not a fighter, though—I just run away and hide! But once I feel safe with you, I’ll be the sweetest little thing! ??

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
