Meet Keanu!

Keanu is a puppylike 2-year-old Pit Bull who was found running with another dog in St. Peters on 7/15/24. He is very nervous in the kennel, but outside he is a happy-go-lucky boy!

- Leash Walking: He walks on leash better when the excitement wears off.
- Energetic: He likes to parkour off people when excited, so no small kids.
- Affectionate: He LOVES belly rubs.
- Playful: He likes to chase toys but loses interest when they stop moving.
- Learning: He likes treats but doesn`t know commands just yet.
- Home Needs: He would do best in an active home that likes to bring their pets on adventures.
- Cat Friendly: He is respectful of cats but would do best with a confident cat.

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
