Meet Keanu!
Keanu is a 2-year-old Pit Bull with a puppylike spirit. He was found running with another dog in St. Peters on 7/15/24. Although he gets nervous in the kennel, he`s a happy-go-lucky boy outside!

Keanu loves to have fun and might sneak some bread from the counter or grab a toy for a little party. He`s not much of a barker but will softly whine when he wants attention. He walks well on a lead unless his prey drive kicks in, so he might not be the best fit for a home with cats.

Initially shy with new people, Keanu warms up quickly and becomes a lifelong friend. He`s a sweet dog who loves water and would be a great companion for camping and boating adventures. Plus, he`s house trained!

- Leash Walking: Improves after initial excitement.
- Energetic: Enjoys parkouring off people when excited, so no small kids.

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
