Here's what the humans have to say about me:
She's big, she's bold, she's beautiful, she may be the cat you've been searching for all along... She's Andi! Andi has been (im)patiently waiting for her forever family for a while now. This black and white kitty isn't afraid to tell people how and what she's feeling. She's upfront with that! She'll let you know when she wants attention and when she wants alone time. It's okay, Andi. We appreciate the honesty! She's more of the independent type, but that doesn't mean she won't want love and attention every now and then! Andi is a couch potato and is very accepting to share couch time with someone. She likes to sit on the couch with people, right beside them. Sometimes even on them! She's a lap cat for sure. Besides your lap, her favorite place to nap in the whole world is, of course, a cardboard box. No matter what the size is, she will sit in it. "If it fits, I sits" is her motto. Bonus points if there's catnip in it! Andi is a fiend for catnip! (What cat isn't?) Her favorite toy to play with seems to be fun plastic springs that she can bat and chase around the room. Something else we've noticed is that she enjoys drinking from cat water fountains. If she had one in her new home, she would like that a lot. She was overweight when she was first returned, so she her diet had to be changed to a special weight management food. It appears to be working well! She will most likely need to be on this food at least until she reaches an ideal weight. If you have questions about this food, ask a staff member. Andi's perfect home would be with a family that is understanding and patient but also experienced with the care and behaviors of cats. She would like to be adopted into a home without children. She prefers her solidarity away from other cats. She has not been around dogs before. If you have a cold lap and an abundance of cardboard boxes, come by the Humane Society to meet Andi!
